My face charts- Mr. Hyde

Mr. Hyde Face Chart 1.

Face Chart 2.

Face Chart 3

When carrying out these face charts I feel I made my look too complex for my continuity assignment, I looked back at them and felt I could create this but I would probably struggle to fit it in within the 1 hour 30 min timed assessment and to produce an identical look twice.

I went for a 1-1 with Kat which really woke up me and she is so helpful. She told me to make it easier for myself but to try out my face charts out side of my assessment but to strip the look down, making it more subtle. I completely agreed and it made sense, I am going to produce an 'evil' Mr. Hyde but with building up product and with subtle differences as I want to keep him human not monster. I want to show his inner sinister, devilish ways with subtle hits with the use of makeup.

Some make-up inspirations for Mr. Hyde...

I got a lot of my inspiration from the 1941 movie of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, I like the subtle makeup yet effective and I wanted to put my own twist on the character Mr. Hyde.
I wanted to give depth in the eye makeup to create the evil, sinister man/thing/monster he was, I want to incorporate the dewy sweaty skin but even so slightly in my character when creating the makeup look, to show his rage and anger.

I also thought about Mr. Hyde and how tense and angry he is all the time and how this would effect you physically on the skin, so therefore I wanted to show dark circles under the eyes to show this, to use dark colours and with the use of red tones to show blood and terror around his eyes.

This clip inspired me for the makeup by making it subtle evil and keeping my design simple yet effective. I love the drama of the transition from a doctor to this evil, sinister human like thing called Mr. Hyde, I found it was intriguing and I want to incorporate the dark circles and shading similar to this version of him or thing?
