January 2016: Paris Trip

In January we went on a unforgettable trip to Paris with the makeup and the fashion students, I had been before but each time I see more of something different it was a beautiful experience and I would love to go back once again to see more.
J'adore Paris!

A cheesy picture of me by the Effiel Tower, the cut got cut off, that was disappointing but I took more amazing pictures of my week.

Picking our Macaroons! Animal friendly too.

Outside the Moulin Rouge, its so showbiz and authentic with the windmill, it blows my mind every time.

The trip went smoothly and I enjoyed taking the euro star which I had never been on before, so that was a brand new experience. I stayed in a room with my class mate Harriet, we wondered around for the week looking at architecture, buildings such as the Norte dame, the louvre, sacre oceour and many more which inspired us we the great detail involved for our gothic horror unit.

We decided to go to some back streets where art was painted on the walls and loved the talent and expression of the art whilst wondering around getting lost and discovering little treasures.

Some beautiful imagery when coming back down the effiel tower and also from scare coeur, I fell in love with Paris all over again, I gained some great insight, knowledge, history and overall beautiful experience but great people and finding great paintings and architecture everywhere.

My favourite part of the week in Paris was that we got the opportunity to go to the yves Saint Laurent fondation tour, the lady was lovely, the building was beautiful and had loads of character built in and outside.
I captured "love" in Paris!

It was so interesting to see where yves Saint Laurent worked, we actually got to go and see where he sat and where he gathered his inspirations for all his work from, one was Andy Warhol, he loved his work and now I can see in his clothing how he was inspired by him.

We went and wondered around the moulin rouge and I loved all the head pieces and outfits of this show, it is so showbiz and glamorous from the outside of the building, I have previously been to the show itself and I was blown away and going back and seeing it bought back great memories.

Brilliant paintings and signs I come across on my mini week adventure in Paris, a lot of them made me laugh or I found very intriguing, especially this one below.

What a Beautiful, typical, authentic Paris photograph of what I wanted to experience in the city of love, with great food and that display is beautiful, I had to take a photo. Nothing beats the smell of fresh baguettes and cakes cooking in a little place near the Louis Vuitton exhibition, what a gem we found!

More images of me being a Tourist, but the places we visited were so beautiful how could I not take a picture!

I learnt so much about the history of Paris and I am in love with the buildings and the people, I loved the old French shutters which close over the windows and all the details involved in the process. The city really screamed romance and it had such a wonderful, beautiful feel to it.

Especially visiting the effiel tower and seeing it light up at night over the city, what a breath taking experience that was.

Here are the images of my lifetime trip January 2016 with the fashion/ makeup students.

My Travel book where I collected tickets, souvenirs and receipts and notes of my wonderful week, so I can look back in the future and the memories will flood back once I open it back up.

On top of the Louis Vuitton exhibition, what a wonderful dynamic view, breath taking!

I gathered a lot of inspiration but I especially loved the old french shutters, they are gorgeous, just the idea of waking up and opening them in the morning with a croissant and a newspaper really appeals and those people can do it, it find its truly beautiful, what amazing properties they live in.

At the catacombs, it got freaky, thousands or millions of bones from deceased people from hundreds of years ago collected under the ground, where we walked through, it was cold and eery. It was strangely beautiful to look at, a bitter sweet, it looked like a massive walking art piece, different skulls and so much detail to them, it felt very gothic and i enjoyed scaring myself and my friends. It was a really interesting experience and I 100% recommend this to anyone.

Look how oddly beautiful the display of bones and skulls are.

My friend and I, wanted to go to the bataclan to pay our respects to the people who lost their lives earlier in the year, it was a horrible, upsetting experience but we wanted to do our bit and to show we are here during this hard time. Our Prayers are with them and their loved ones!

Pray for Paris

Moving onto a lighter note, a French favourite the macaroon!

There were so many bakeries with wonderful, selections of food, pastries and cakes. I needed to capture the sight of all these cakes, how delicious do they look?
